This project aims at allowing medical doctors to perform Electrocardiography (ECG) using a personal computer. The functionality is achieved using electric sensors that measure heart activity and are connected to a micro-controller which gathers the sensor data and sends it to a PC-client. The PC-client displays the ECG data and allows archiving it into a database of patient data, and also allows performing some simple mathematical analysis of the data to indicate some heart conditions.
My Role in The Project
This project was a bachelor thesis for some medical engineering students at Damascus University. I participated by designing and implementing the PC-client which was done using C++/Qt as well as a driver for the micro controller.
